In a nutshell, our long-term goals can be summarised as follows:
To provide a facility for the people of Rotherfield and surrounding areas which will:
- Make a substantial contribution to the life of the whole community
- Be enjoyed by people of all ages and physical abilities
- Be open and evident to visitors in Rotherfield
- Be an attractive place for people to take the air and exercise, meet others, pursue leisure activities and pastimes consistent with shared enjoyment of the whole Green
- Be available for schools and youth organisations for education and recreation
- Provide significant natural areas where people can enjoy nature and wildlife first hand
- Make a positive contribution to the local environment and respect the established character of the area
- Remain safely and conveniently accessible to all.
